The Best Detox Juice Recipe for Weight Loss (No Juicer Needed)

If you have a juicer at home and prefer juicing these recipes you can totally do that too. But with smoothies, you’re basically eating the whole food (fiber intact) in a pureed form and almost everyone has a good blender in their kitchen already.

Because you’re eating the entire food vs juicing and losing all that healthy fiber, smoothies can serve as meal replacements because they contain enough calories to keep you full.

So I choose to use my blender instead of a juicer for all of these recipes (here is a link to the blender I love NutriBullet Blender Combo) 

The Healthy Detox Weight Loss Smoothy Recipe

The healthy weight loss detox smoothy recipe is made up of four ingredients:

  • Healthy Fats 
  • Fiber 
  • Fruit 
  • Liquid

For the liquid, you can add water, green tea, yerba mate tea, or coconut water. Then add half a banana, 2 handfuls of spinach, 3 tbsp of hemp hearts, 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tsp Matcha powder, 1 tbsp MCT Oil (I use Bulletproof Brain Octane C8 MCT Oil), juice from half a lemon, 1 scoop of college protein powder, and 2 to 2 1/2 cups of water (or coconut water, green tea, or yerba mate tea).

Weight Loss Fat Fueled Chocolate Smoothie Recipe

For all my chocolate lovers out there this will most likely be your new BFF. This recipe is a great breakfast meal replacement because it is loaded with healthy fats that will fuel your mornings and give you mental clarity, and save you lots of time and money in the mornings too. Add a little brewed coffee and butter to make it a Bullet Proof Morning Mocha Latte.

To a blender add half an organic banana, half an organic avocado, 3 tbsp organic chia seeds, 1 tbsp organic almond butter, 1 handful of organic spinach, 1 tbsp organic cacao powder, 1 scoop college protein powder, and 2 cups of unsweetened almond milk. Add 1 cup of brewed coffee, a dash of cinnamon, and 1 tbsp butter for a warm cocoa mocha latte.

This smoothy is such to keep you full all morning, nip that sweet tooth in the bud, and help you avoid those expensive and sugar-loaded drinks at the Starbucks window.

The Hormone Balancing Berry-Delicious Blueberry Smoothy

Blueberries are packed with antioxidants and are a great source of vitamin C. Adding cinnamon can help stabilize your blood sugars which are key for weight loss for this reason and because it’s delicious I love adding cinnamon to most of my smoothy recipes and to my morning Bullet Proof Coffee which you can find the recipe for here Hormonal Imbalance Weight Loss Drink.

For this recipe add to your blender 1 cup of frozen organic blueberries, 1/2 a ripe avocado, 1 tbsp almond butter, juice from 1/2 a lemon, 1 handful of spinach, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1 scoop of college protein powder, 2-3 cups of water (or coconut water).

Not only will this berry delicious smoothy fill you up it will also boost your immune system with all the antioxidants and vitamin C from the blueberries. This is one of my favorite summer breakfast or lunch replacement smoothies!

I have been drinking green drinks for YEARS. I use to juice all the ingredients fresh daily but not only was it messy and time-consuming but it was very expensive too. After several years of faithfully juicing daily, I learned our bodies cannot digest fruits and vegetables without the fiber they contain. If you have one or more of the symptoms from the list above it is a pretty good indication your hormones are out of wack! There are two options in testing for a hormonal imbalance. You can test at home using a home hormonal test kit, or visit your doctor and request a full hormone panel blood work.

If you are getting your hormonal panel done in a lab by your doctor something to keep in mind before starting any prescribed medication for a hormonal imbalance, most commonly thyroid replacement medication is to do your research. Once you get on any kind of medication for a hormonal imbalance it is very difficult to wean your body off of it and is not recommended by doctors. 

This process took me a little over 3 years to heal my hormones and wean myself off of thyroid medication with quarterly blood work to ensure my hormones were where they should be, which is a pretty expensive process in and of itself. 

I did not know then what I have learned and share now about being able to naturally heal and reset our hormones. If you do find your hormones are out of balance find a doctor who will help you take a more natural approach to heal. Multiple doctors and specialists told me healing my thyroid and being off of thyroid medication were not possible. 

Yet here we are and I have fully healed my thyroid and hormones and I am off of all medication. Thousands of others, among them my mentor Dr. Mark Hyman have healed their hormones naturally as well. It is possible. 

The Best Diet for Hormonal Weight Gain

Odds are pretty good that if you have gained weight and not been able to easily lose it, or have been over weight for more than a year then there is a hormonal imbalance involved. The question of does being over weight, or obses cause a hormonal imbalance or does a hormonal imblance cause obesity the simple answer is yes!

It does not really matter which came first if you have one the other is soon to follow.

The best diet for hormonal weight gain in my own personal experience, and in helping so many heal their hormones as well is hands down the Clean Keto Diet.
