Hello! We’re Jason and K’Lee,
LIFE SPAN | HEALTH SPAN
THE FIT OVER 40 WELLNESS COACHING COUPLE
We’re Jason and K’Lee, a passionate wellness Fit Over 40 coaching duo, dedicated to helping you establish a sustainable wellness lifestyle. We’re not into fad diets with unrealistic start and end dates that result in a 99.9% failure rate.
You know the ones—people often don’t even make it to the elusive “end date,” or they regain all the weight lost, and then some, shortly after. And let’s not forget the fitness coaches who promise you can ‘work out your way’ to your dream body, often relying on punishing workouts or unrealistic time commitments. While they might have some success, it’s often short-lived and unsustainable.
Jason and I take a holistic approach to coaching. We understand that merely changing your diet or focusing solely on fitness is like patching one hole in a leaky boat. It’s a start, but it’s not enough to truly transform your life.
Our coaching program spans 12 months, each month honing in on a different aspect of wellness, including:
1) A Mindset/Perspective Reset
2) Using Food as Medicine
3) Sleep
4) Sex
5) Fitness
6) Stress
7) How to Create a Miracle Morning Routine
8) Clean Nontoxic Living
9) BioHacking for Longevity (using modern science)
10) The Power of Small Daily Habits – Consistency is Key
11) Primal Living
12) Creating Your Personalized Wellness Blueprint for the Year Ahead
We’re here to guide you on a transformative journey to improve not just your lifespan, but your healthspan, ensuring you live a vibrant, fulfilling life as you age.

More about K’Lee…..
Ten-plus years ago, I faced a pivotal decision, a crossroads in my health journey. It all began after the birth of my youngest son when my hormones seemed to spiral out of control. Countless visits to doctors yielded no satisfying answers. So, I was left with a choice – should I resign myself to the status quo and simply accept what the doctors were telling me?
Now, allow me to offer you a glimpse into my personality, even though we haven’t met in person. I’ve always been the kind of person who questions things, not to be obstinate, but out of a genuine curiosity for knowledge. Few things irked me more than the response (if one could even call it that) I received from doctors: “Well, everything looks ‘normal,’ so just keep taking your medication indefinitely, and you’ll be fine.”
This answer didn’t sit right with me. It was as though they were saying, “Sorry, there’s no cure; you’ll have to live with and manage this forever.” And there it was – the seed of my journey.
Fast forward a decade, and I’ve embarked on a journey of self-directed learning that could rival a Ph.D. program. The best part?
My path wasn’t confined by the parameters of a university’s ideals or an “approved curriculum.” This brings us to the present moment and the reason you’re reading this now.
I discovered healing through natural, holistic approaches, and it led me back to our roots. The transformative power of food became abundantly clear – it can either be our medicine or our poison. It’s a sobering thought, isn’t it?
But let me backtrack a bit. Allow me to introduce myself – we’re on this journey together now, after all.
My name is K’Lee. I’m a wife to my best friend, a mother to three incredible boys, and soon, I’ll have the delightful title of grandmother (although I’m not even 40 yet, so let’s go with “Lolly” for now). We’ll dive into that story another time.
I’m also an autodidact, a citizen scientist if you will. That’s just a fancy way of saying I’ve devoured hundreds of books, spent thousands of hours listening to doctors, researchers, and studies, and committed the past decade to the rigorous study of various subjects – all without obtaining a formal degree (haha).
The healthcare system in the US is, in my eyes, fundamentally flawed. The pharmaceutical industry ranks as the second most profitable in the country. Physicians invest 8-12 years in medical school and don’t even receive a single course on how food affects our bodies, or how insidious compounds like VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds found in artificial fragrances) wreak havoc on our hormones and endocrine systems.
To be perfectly honest, I’m rather baffled about what they do learn during those lengthy years, aside from prescribing pharmaceutical solutions that address symptoms but rarely uproot the underlying issues. Please, don’t misconstrue my intent – physicians aren’t in control of what they’re taught.
But you and I? We are. Through my quest to heal my thyroid, I’ve acquired a wealth of knowledge. To be completely transparent, it started mainly because I wanted to shed those stubborn extra 60+ pounds that just refused to budge. I was determined not to be reliant on medication for the rest of my life, especially when medical professionals offered no alternatives. So, I set out on a journey to discover the answers myself.
That is because our body operates holistically.
So if we only focus on fitness alone (physical appearance), but neglect other vital areas like our hormones, gut (etc.) no matter how healthy our appearance is that does not mean our body as a whole is healthy.
We are marathon coaches, not sprint coaches. So, if you are looking for a “quick fix” this is not where you will find it.
Will you find results quickly, most likely?
But our goal is not necessarily to get you beach-ready in 30 days, it is to help you create a lifestyle around health so that when you see results they stick around for GOOD!
We heard a quote years ago that went something like, “You can invest in your health now (willingly) or you will end up paying for it later (sickness, disease, medical expenses, etc.).
With medical advancements, we are living longer than ever. BUT…. with the poor farming practices, processed (cooked up in a lab) fake Frankin foods, fast foods, refined carbs & sugar in everything foods that is what we call the SAD (Standard American Diet) our culture is also sicker than ever too.
No one wants to live to 70-100 years old but lose their mind or their health and be miserable right?
Right now we have the opportunity to change course.
Not only for ourselves but for our kids and grandkids. The old saying “more is caught than taught” science is now proving that chronic illnesses are not so much “genetics” as they are inherited by the lifestyles our parents taught us.
If parents smoke, the likelihood hood their kids smokes is over 89%. If parents were obese likely hood of their children being obese is over 90% …. Because more is caught than taught.
Kids don’t do what we say as much as they do what we do.
More about Jason……
My journey into health and fitness began back in high school. Unlike K’Lee, who seemed to maintain her slender physique with ease until motherhood, I wasn’t quite as fortunate. During those high school years, I practically lived in the gym, using it as my sanctuary to counteract the effects of the Standard American Diet (SAD) we all grew up on. Without those hours of exercise, I would have likely battled obesity even during my teens.
When I ventured into college, I embarked on a mission to educate myself and, in the process, refine my diet. This newfound fascination with health and fitness became a full-blown hobby. Picture me printing hundreds of articles, back in the days before YouTube and podcasts, and devouring them to quench my thirst for knowledge. The rest, as they say, is history.
Even in my leisure time, I still love tuning in to podcast interviews and what K’Lee affectionately terms “nerding out” on topics related to health and longevity.
However, the game changed dramatically once I hit 40. My trusted routine of sweating it out in the gym for over an hour a day and adhering to a somewhat clean diet suddenly stopped delivering results. I had heard the age-old adage, “Everything changes after 40,” for years, but I used to dismiss it with a nonchalant shrug, thinking my system would remain foolproof regardless of age.
Boy, was I mistaken!
Instead of maintaining my physique, I found myself gaining more weight than ever before, despite religiously adhering to my “tried and true” methods. It was a baffling experience. I continued to hit the gym six days a week for intense, hour-long workouts. What on earth had gone wrong?
The turning point came with a mix of panic and disappointment. I had been working diligently, but the results were contrary to what I expected. It was a tough moment.
Fast forward to today, and I spend approximately 10 minutes a day on my workouts, yet I’m as lean and sculpted as ever. We’ve cracked the code on how to maintain peak shape effortlessly, even after hitting that 40-year milestone. However, it’s important to understand that this achievement came after more than a decade of dedicated research and self-experimentation. K’Lee healed her autoimmune condition (thyroid issues), and I overcame my sleep troubles. Now, we both look and feel better than ever.
The secret? Well, that’s precisely what we’ll share with you throughout our 12-month coaching program. While I wish we could neatly package it into a three-step blog post solution, that’s simply not how life works, my friend. Those infomercials promising overnight transformations are nothing but cheesy gimmicks.
The key to effortlessly maintaining optimal health lies in the small daily actions you take. It’s not one monumental change that will revolutionize your life and well-being; it’s the series of daily, consistent habits that will gradually shape the wellness-focused lifestyle you truly desire.
K’Lee and I are wholeheartedly committed to guiding you on this journey. The only question remaining is: are you ready to invest in your health and take that first step?
