What is Infrared?

Infrared light therapy uses infrared lights to help with mental acuity, circadian rhythm, skin health, inflammation, performance and recovery, sleep optimization, and improved blood flow. Infrared light therapy has been studied for over 40 years for its benefits in reducing pain and inflammation, preventing tissue damage, promoted healing among other things. 

How does Infrared Light Therapy work?

Red and near-infrared wavelengths are absorbed through our skin and into our cells’ potential to produce energy increases. In the same way, a solar panel takes light and converts it into usable energy for a home, red light therapy is designed and works in similar ways.

This is one of the BEST investments my husband and I made in our health. We have seen so many positive benefits from our daily red light therapy sessions it is hard to list them all. The most notable benefits from our 10 minutes a day red light therapy sessions have been:

Can Infrared help with weight loss?

Yes. Infrared light therapy can help with weight loss by helping your cells, blood, and oxygen by improving circulation. Good circulation is key for maintaining good health. Red light reduces oxidative stress. Red light improves our sleep quality which has a direct effect on our weight and reduces inflammation which aids in healthy hormonal balance. 

Hormonal Imbalance is the leading cause of weight gain today. Whether being over weight for a long period of time caused the hormonal imblance or the hormonal imbalance caused the weight gain they go hand and hand in the same way that inflammation is found at the core of every disease, autoimmune disease included.

Once there is hormonal imbalance weight gain it can feel impossible to lose. The key is getting rid of the foods and daily personal hygiene products that are causing hormonal disruption. These are known as endocrine blockers and there is no way around fixing your hormones when you have foods or personal care products causing more of the same issues.

Does Infrared help with Hormonal Imbalance?

Yes! Yes! Yes! Infrared light therapy absolutely helps with hormonal imbalance. There was a study done on a group of 38 men or reported low sexual interest, aka having low sex drive. This is a tell tell sign their is a hormonal imbalance. Their testosterone levels were measured and they were split into two groups the pilot group and the placebo group. The placebo group was exposed to a UV-free light for 30 minutes per day, while the pilot group received a 30 minute red light therapy session.

The pilot group of men increase in testosterone levels from 2.3 to 3.6 nanograms per milliliter and reported a noticeable increase in sexual drive. The placebo group reported no increase in testonrone and no changes in sexual drive. Pretty incredible right?

These results or better are reported across the board when testing the results of red light therapy for hormonal imbalance.
